This blended format comes with the additional benefit of reducing accommodation costs for those needing to travel in order to access the face-to-face sessions. The face-to-face components of this course will be led by Mr. Temujin Eradhun, who has over 25 years of experience in the field of podiatric medicine, with a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions. He has been delivering workshops and assisting on acupuncture courses for 8 years.

Fully Evidence-Based Approach

Expert research knowledge is combined with practical, clinically relevant teaching to ensure you receive a fully evidence-based approach to the implementation of acupuncture for podiatry. This course has clinical reasoning at the heart of its delivery, ensuring that you’re able to make fully informed decisions on how and when to introduce acupuncture into a client’s care package.

The foundation in acupuncture course is open to HCPC registered podiatrists with appropriate professional indemnity insurance that covers the use of needle insertion (we can advise on insurers who provide this). Prospective students must be fit and able to perform the practical components, therefore be able to physically insert acupuncture needles and have acupuncture needles inserted into themselves.

Please note that although pregnancy is not a contraindication to receiving acupuncture, we understand that some expectant mothers may be apprehensive. Other acupuncture safety concerns for prospective course attendees are needle phobia, metal allergies, heart valve transplants, and pacemakers. Please make us aware prior to booking if you have any concerns.

The course will be delivered over three full days of tuition and practical classes, in addition to the required online modules, tutorials, and tests that each student will be able to complete at their own pace.

The face-to-face hands-on sessions will involve some theory but will be mostly focused on developing the practical and safety skills necessary to become competent in using acupuncture as a treatment modality.

Course refunds due to cancellations will be considered individually. As students gain access to all the online content and resources upon booking, it may be possible to rebook their practical workshops onto future dates in the case of unexpected inability to attend the scheduled workshops.

We will be working as best as possible to stick to social distancing rules. You will be required to wear a mask for the 3 days of practical workshops, with consideration for specific face-covering exemptions as per government guidelines, particularly for health or communicative purposes. Students with additional requirements will also be accommodated wherever possible.
