About

Hello, I am an MSK physiotherapist by background, and currently a Senior Lecturer, Physiotherapy programme lead, and fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have spent over 20 years studying and learning about how the body works, and I am nowhere near finished learning!

Throughout my learning and clinical background, a topic of major interest for me has been physical activity and exercise. The benefits of physical activity and exercise are broad and profound. Yet, for many people, the potential benefits to be gained from them, have not yet been realised. I feel physical activity and exercise should be made inclusive, available, and as easy to understand and implement for all. From my own personal experience, I have enjoyed exercise all of my life, whether this was playing Rugby, Ice Hockey, Olympic Weightlifting or going for a run.

The aim of the Strength, Conditioning & Exercise Prescription course is to help increase your understanding of exercise prescription so that you and your patients can benefit from this. The programme is geared towards understanding the principles of exercise prescription, so that you are able to apply them, explain them and open up the possibilities for your patients to truly gain the benefits of exercise.
