Acupuncture and dry needling offers several opportunities for chiropractors that can enhance their practice and benefit their patients. Some of the key opportunities include:
Pain Management: Acupuncture is well-known for its effectiveness in managing pain. Chiropractors can use acupuncture to complement their manual adjustments and spinal manipulations to provide more comprehensive pain relief for patients with musculoskeletal issues, such as back pain, neck pain, and joint pain.
Holistic Care: Acupuncture aligns with the holistic philosophy of chiropractic care, focusing on the interconnectedness of the body and promoting natural healing. By incorporating acupuncture, chiropractors can offer a more well-rounded approach to patient care.
Diversified Services: Including acupuncture and dry needling in their practice allows chiropractors to diversify their service offerings, making their practice more appealing to a broader patient base. Patients seeking alternative or complementary therapies may be drawn to chiropractors who offer acupuncture.
Improved Patient Outcomes: Acupuncture can enhance the outcomes of chiropractic treatment by addressing pain, reducing inflammation, and promoting relaxation. This can lead to faster recovery and increased patient satisfaction.
Patient Attraction: Many patients actively seek acupuncture and dry needling for pain relief and general wellness. By offering acupuncture services, chiropractors can attract new patients who may not have considered chiropractic care alone.
Typically, our foundation level acupuncture and dry needling courses take chiropractors around one to two months to complete. The online component of our course can be completed in your own time, at your own pace, whilst the in-person workshop is conducted across three days.
Following the foundation course, chiropractors may decide to advance their training further through one of our online or in-person CPD training courses. Our popular Advanced Skills in Acupuncture Course comprises an online component, as well as a two day in-person training event.
Yes, chiropractors can study any of Breeze Academy’s acupuncture courses. However, to attend one of our specialist CPD courses, you must first have completed our medical acupuncture and dry needling foundation course.
It is becoming increasingly common for chiropractors to incorporate acupuncture into their practice. The integration of acupuncture as a complementary therapy is on the rise within the field of chiropractic care. Many chiropractors are recognising the value of offering their patients a more diverse range of treatment options, especially for pain management, relaxation, and overall well-being.
This increasing trend reflects the demand for holistic and integrative approaches to chiropractic care. Acupuncture can be a valuable addition to traditional chiropractic techniques, providing targeted pain relief and enhancing patient comfort. The combined use of both therapies is contributing to a more patient-centred and well-rounded approach to musculoskeletal healthcare, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and overall well-being. Chiropractors are increasingly incorporating acupuncture into their practice to offer a more comprehensive and effective approach to patient care.
