This acupuncture and dry needling general CPD update allows delegates to revisit their needling skills and underpinning theory, whilst being introduced to the latest findings from published literature – thus helping to consolidate existing knowledge and to introduce a more focused approach to needling techniques and clinical reasoning.

Delivered by Dr. Carl Clarkson, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, who has taught acupuncture globally for over 10 years, this course ensures you have everything you need to advance your needling techniques and clinical reasoning in order to provide your patients with an increased service offering.

This online acupuncture CPD course begins by re-visiting learning undertaken in your foundation course – notably, contraindications and precautions, adverse events, needling basics, clinical reasoning, pain physiology, as well as the role of acupuncture and when to use it.

Having re-established these fundamentals, you’ll then progress through a series of modules aimed at strengthening your knowledge of prominent meridians, needling techniques and acupoint recipes with respect to the neck, shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle.

With theoretical knowledge and application reviewed from both a Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, case studies and multi-choice quizzes are used throughout in order to bolster your clinical reasoning capabilities and ensure that you complete the course feeling confident, safe and effective in implementing your new found knowledge and skills.

Delivered via our first-class online portal, a wealth of clinical and research experience is deftly combined with practical demonstrations, case studies, multi-choice quizzes and handouts to ensure you have everything you could possibly need to revisit and improve upon your existing knowledge and needling skills.

Not only are we experts in the field of acupuncture and dry needling, but we’re also experts at delivering exceptional educational experiences. We know exactly what healthcare professionals need, and want, in order to maximise their learning experience and to feel confident, safe and effective in using needling as part of their clinical practice as soon as they complete the course.

As soon as you book, you’ll be given access to our online acupuncture and dry needling training platform where you will have unfettered, 24/7 access for 3 months.

At the end of each chapter, you will be able to test your knowledge in our multi-choice quizzes in a fun and engaging manner. We include case studies that require you to draw upon your learning, challenging you to engage with clinical reasoning that would be reflected in your own clinical practice.

We’re with you every step of the way. As soon as you book, you’ll gain access to our online portal, meaning you can start learning immediately. In addition, our team of tutors and learner support team are easily accessible, and happy to help in any way we can.
